Index of Gospel Passages, Characters, and Towns in The Gospel as Revealed to Me+ The Poem of the Man-God

Br. Richard A. Campa, CCL, created an index of Gospel passages, characters, and towns in The Gospel as Revealed to Me and The Poem of the Man-God. He has generously given the Maria Valtorta Readers' Group permission to post it on our website.

Atlas of Palestine As It Was in the Time of Our Lord: The Compact Travel Guide to the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ According to Maria Valtorta's The Poem of the Man-God and The Gospel as Revealed to Me

David Webster, M.Div., gave permission to the Maria Valtorta Readers' Group to host his Atlas of Palestine As It Was in the Time of Our Lord: The Compact Travel Guide to the Public Ministry of Jesus Christ According to Maria Valtorta. You can download it here: Atlas of Palestine As It Was in the Time of Our Lord .

This atlas book includes 19 detailed maps of Judea, Galilee, Decapolis, the Sea of Galilee, and Jerusalem, complete with a comprehensive index to all locations mentioned in both The Poem of the Man-God and The Gospel as Revealed to Me. Jesus’ travels are color-coded for ease of reference.

You can use this atlas to easily find the location of Jesus on a specific historic date or for a particular chapter in either edition. It also details where Christ traveled between chapters and the distances, in miles, from the previous locations. At the end of the atlas, a special map of Jerusalem and the Temple in the time of Christ highlights key places according to these works.

David Webster breaks Christ’s journeys into 12 distinct ministry cycles (6 Galilean and 6 Judean), matching the sequence in the text. This makes it easier to follow Christ's geographic journeys with precision and depth.

The Valtorta Enigma: A Fictionalized Life of Jesus?

Jean-François Lavère, a professional engineer, wrote a groundbreaking scientific study into Valtorta's primary work, entitled L´énigme Valtorta, Une Vie de Jésus Romancée? (The Valtorta Enigma, a Fictionalized Life of Jesus?). He and his publisher have kindly given the Maria Valtorta Readers’ Group permission to provide the official English translation of this work in its entirety to visitors.

Download The Valtorta Enigma (PDF)

Jean-François Lavère has been studying Maria Valtorta’s works for over 25 years. Convinced that the historicity of her writings would either prove itself or be disproved, he conducted a systematic study of over 10,000 detailed data points covering diverse fields: arts, astronomy, flora and fauna, ethnology, geography, geology, history, geopolitics, technology, metrology, religions, social sciences, and more. His research demonstrates a remarkable correspondence between these details and authoritative sources, strongly supporting the supernatural origin of the visions described in The Poem of the Man-God (now entitled The Gospel as Revealed to Me).

Bishop Johanan-Mariam Cazenave, Secretary of the Syrian-French Synod, wrote the preface for this book in February 2012. Below is an excerpt from his preface:

[…] This book is admirable in more than its title because, with scientific circumspection, it considers one of the great enigmas, too unknown, of our times: the case of Maria Valtorta, probably the greatest visionary in the history of Christianity! The consequences of this are considerable, because the fundamental light that Jean-François Lavère brings into this work rests on objective facts which are accessible to exact science tied to the most recent and primarily archeological discoveries. For the reader, the conclusions speak for themselves!

[…] Today, things have greatly changed. Science has progressed in an incredible way in half a century, and the computer has overturned research in all domains, unifying knowledge, classifying, coordinating analytical data. This has permitted immense progress, notably for the phenomena which concern us here: archeology and astronomy. For fifty years, let’s say from the end of the last (sic!) war, the state of Israel has encouraged excavations in all directions on most Jewish and Christian sites of its territory, precisely there where Jesus and His apostles tread two thousand years ago. A much more advanced knowledge of these sites has emerged than was available fifty years ago, giving us a multitude of places and new contexts, and details of life styles in what specialists call “Late Antiquity”.

It is precisely this which forms the power of the prodigious and patient work of Jean-François Lavère. This work in fact gives evidence of an astonishing agreement between the recent discoveries of science and the visionary descriptions of Maria Valtorta which are spread over thousands of pages: without erasures, without contradictions and in a unity of times and places as demonstrated by very rigorous research. All that, a half century ago: from the depth of her bed of suffering, without documentation and with no connection to a scientific community, this woman “sees” in real time and by a kind of shortcut: describing what some scholars would much later laboriously deduce from archeological data two thousand years old! Names of villages in Aramean, cities and monuments that disappeared and then are found again today, a knowledge of manners and customs, of scenery, attire...a whole context whereby the author of this Work amply demonstrates that this tour de force is impossible if one leaves no place for what the “seer” herself affirms: it is God who shows her, it is Jesus who dictates to her the instructions which accompany [His] illustrating the Gospels without ever betraying them: in their cultural context and often with moving poetry, consecrating the union of the True, of the Good, and of the Beautiful which rises from Christ like water from its source.

JCL Thesis: The Current Juridic and Moral Value of the Index of Forbidden Books
(with Maria Valtorta Case Study)

Fr. Anthony Pillari, J.C.L., M.C.L., S.T.L., J.D., published a JCL thesis for the Faculty of Canon Law of St. Paul University entitled “The Current Juridic and Moral Value of the Index of Forbidden Books”. This thesis gives the history of the Index of Forbidden Books, explains the current juridic and moral status of the Index of Forbidden Books after its abrogation by Pope Paul VI in 1966, and includes a case study analyzing and explaining the canonical status of the major work of Maria Valtorta.

The Maria Valtorta case study demonstrates that when a person chooses to read, publish, or promote Maria Valtorta’s The Poem of the Man-God (now entitled The Gospel as Revealed to Me), there is no violation of ecclesiastical law. It also analyzes relevant letters from Cardinal Ratzinger, Bishop Tettamanzi, Bishop Kindukulam, and Bishop Danylak, showing that a Catholic may express personal belief in the supernatural origin of Valtorta’s work without violating ecclesiastical law or being guilty of any form of disobedience.

Fr. Pillari’s thesis further details the admiration that three beatified persons have publicly expressed concerning Valtorta’s work (including Blessed Allegra’s belief in its supernatural origin) and notes that their beatification invites Catholics to respect and share their opinion on Valtorta’s work, even sometimes above private opinions of Church officials who have not been beatified.

Of special significance is the inclusion of a signed testimonial letter of Fr. Leo Maasburg, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Austria and close associate of Mother Teresa of Calcutta (canonized in 2016). Fr. Maasburg’s testimonial reveals that Mother Teresa carried Maria Valtorta’s The Poem of the Man-God with her during her travels, read the work, and recommended it to him.

Scandals, confusion, apostasy—even from the highest levels. Many Catholics are asking: Has the Church lost its way?

This free e-book dives deep into the prophetic mystery of the Church's current crisis, drawing from Scripture, tradition, the writings of the saints, and the revelations given to mystic Maria Valtorta. It answers the most urgent and painful questions of our time:

The "Sudarium Christi" of Oviedo or the Veil of the Virgin Mary?

After extensive research, Giovanna Busolini has published The "Sudarium Christi" of Oviedo or the Veil of the Virgin Mary? She has given the Maria Valtorta Readers’ Group permission to post it on our website. You can download it here: The "Sudarium Christi" of Oviedo or the Veil of the Virgin Mary?

Stephen Austin, a Maria Valtorta Readers' Group member, wrote the following introduction to this book:

Giovanna Busolini's book The "Sudarium Christi" of Oviedo or the Veil of the Virgin Mary? is a remarkable book in so many ways.

There are many cutting-edge discoveries that are not only precious and meaningful, but discoveries of this importance and magnitude are such a rare event, that, when reading her book, I couldn’t help but think of the famous Scripture passage in the canonical Gospels where Jesus says, "I confess to Thee, O Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, because Thou have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them to the little ones." (Matthew 11:25)

Indeed, it is so perfectly in keeping with the way that Providence works that God has chosen a faithful lay woman to discover these hidden discoveries of this relic rather than a scientist, a learned scholar, or even a cleric. It was similarly a faithful humble nun who was the first one to discover the amazing correspondence between the Veil of Manoppello and the Shroud of Turin when they are superimposed over each other (something Our Lord foretold to Valtorta in a dictation long before this discovery).

Giovanna's book covers the history of the "Sudarium" of Oviedo, what the expert scientists and researchers have so far uncovered about it, and an analysis of the current theories about the "Sudarium". She then covers the relevant details about the Passion and Resurrection that God revealed through His revelations to Maria Valtorta that shed light on the mystery of this relic.

This evidence suggests that this is indeed the Veil of the Virgin Mary. In comparing Valtorta's highly accurate account of what she witnessed to what we know about the scientific, visual, and historical properties of the "Sudarium" of Oviedo, we can see a complete consonance between the two. Not only is there consonance between Valtorta's revelations and the Veil of Oviedo, but Valtorta's revelations also foretell and show us hidden images in the Veil that the Blessed Virgin Mary herself saw and commented on, images that seem to only be explainable by a supernatural act of Divine Providence. Valtorta's revelations also give us a history of the origin of this Veil, how it was formed, and to whom it belonged in the days following Jesus' Passion and Resurrection. Giovanna's studies present an excellent body of arguments and evidence that the "Sudarium" of Oviedo is indeed the Veil of the Virgin Mary and contains not only the Blood of the Son of God, but the blood and tears of His Holy Mother.

I encourage anyone interested in studying this sacred relic and the revelations of Maria Valtorta to read the research and amazing discoveries of Giovanna Busolini in this study. I believe Giovanna's book will go down in the annuls of history as a leading book not only about research into these aspects of Valtorta's revelations, but also the sacred relic of the Veil of Oviedo itself.

Via Crucis or The Way of the Cross
from the Writings of Maria Valtorta
adapted by Giovanna Busolini

Tradition holds that our Blessed Mother Mary visited the scenes of Our Lord's Passion, the Way of the Cross daily. Until 1462, people worked backwards when doing the stations beginning at the tomb. Originally, the number not only began with seven stations but these increased over time, and although they were fixed to 14 stations in 1731 by Pope Clement XII, the stations varied from one country to another, some were traditional and others were scriptural, and the numerical order itself differed.

These variations and the order in which many were numbered inspired Giovanna Busolini to assemble the Via Crucis - The Way of the Cross in a chronological order according to the way they are presented in the writings of Maria Valtorta.

With gospel-based references and inspiring images added, this booklet walks the Reader through Jesus' Way of the Cross in a clear and logical order. You can download this book here:

This book is not a commentary, but a collection of passages for reflection, designed to foster growth in love, understanding, and truth.
